Babe we are almost out of dog food.........

Target: $3.98
My husband wanted to make sure I looked for a great coupon deal for dog food this week cause we are down to the last bag of free Iams (from Walmart) we got a while back, so I did just that!!!!

Target has a coupon up on their site right now for $1.50 off of a bag of dry Chef Michaels dog food. Combine that with the $3 manu coupon out now and score you some free dog food at target this week. You can use both Target coupons from their web page and a manufacturer coupon for the same item at Target, for those that are new to couponing. You can do this because their "coupons" are not a manu coupon but it's their way of doing a sale. They will accept both.
(I bought my manu coupons on ebay for 6.xx for 30 coupons)

Couponing......

One of the biggest ways our family has learned to save money in '08/'09 has been by clipping coupons. I remember watching Oprah several years back and seeing a lady gets tons of things for a food bank for nothing. This lady went on a shopping trip and had $300 worth of groceries, she walked out paying only a COUPLE OF DOLLARS. No way i thought, never could i do that and for sure not around here in the boondocks. OH BUT YOU CAN AND I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU HOW!!!!!!!!!!! Keep checking in daily on my blog and we are going to walk through together how you can coupon and save money, LOTS OF $$$!

Homemade Liquid Laundry Soap. $$ saver!!

So i was watching the Duggars' a couple months back and they had a show on about how they save money. One big thing that stuck out to me was a great way to save money on your laundry bills....................... MAKING YOUR OWN LAUNDRY SOAP! How awesome is that? Not only are you saving a TON of money, and when i say TON i mean a TON, but it's also really fun.

So now for the past several months I've been doing this. I've tried 4 different brands of bar soap seeing which one i like best and what one cleans best. I've tried, Pure and Natural, Ivory, Zote, and Fels Naptha. So far Fels honestly does the best job cleaning our clothes and I'm guessing it's simply because it's made just for that, cleaning stains out of clothing, it does a wonderful job. I use this recipe from the Duggar's web page and double all the ingredients in the same 5 gallon bucket. this way i can use less and not have to make it as often and also this has been the way I've found to get the soap to gel. If it doesn't gel it's not a big deal it still cleans the same but for some reason i really like mine to gel............ idk. You can also add in an essential oil to make it smell nicely but that to me is just an added cost i leave out cause the smell doesn't stay on the clothing anyway, actually the clothing just smells nice and fresh just as it is without essential oils. I've gotten several complements on how nicely my clothes smell using it, but if i want an added smell i just usually add in a small amount of scented fabric softener into the load and the clothes pick up the smell from that. mmmmmmmmm Gain; mango tango!!!!!!! hehe.

Here is the site...........

Also i bought Fels Naptha on line one time and then later in the month found out that our ace hardware sells the stuff. So if you have an ace I'd check with them first in their cleaning product isle, save yourself on shipping.
